Metra’s new Axxess Bluetooth interfaces allow range of wireless options

June 7, 2010

Holly Hill, Fla – Metra Electronics takes a leading role in wireless connectivity with its new Axxess Bluetooth interfaces that enable iPods, cell phones and MP3 players to be heard through car stereo systems.

Available through Metra’s Axxess line of digital interfaces, the ABTI interfaces work with the popular Motorola IHF1000 Bluetooth handsfree cell phone kit.  The Axxess Bluetooth products allow a full range of wireless mobility and CD sound quality without being tethered to the dash with corded systems.

Each ABTI kit includes a Bluetooth transmitter that connects to the iPod, a 3.5-to-RCA cable, and a USB cable. Additional accessories, such as a cigarette lighter adaptor for USB cable use, Bluetooth stereo headphones, and Bluetooth ear pieces are also available.

Other products include Metra’s Axxess series of XIA and AIP iPod interfaces for OEM or after-market auto sound systems.  The interfaces provide CD-quality integration with iPods, MP3 players, satellite radio systems, notebooks, gaming systems or mobile video systems.

To order, call a Metra sales representative at (800) 221-0932 or visit Metra Electronics online at www.metraonline.com or www.axxessinterface.com. Based in Holly Hill, Fla., Metra Electronics has been the global leader in auto sound accessories for more than 60 years.
